Concordia Dance Marathon
At Concordia, students are taught to B.R.E.W (Become Responsibly Engaged in the World) and Dance Marathon allows students to do just that. Concordia Dance Marathon (CDM) started in 2010 by a group of students who were passionate about making a difference in the lives of local children treated at Sanford Children's Hospital.
Now in its fourth year, Dance Marathon at Concordia College has grown to become a popular student-run non-profit organization. By engaging and empowering the campus community, we strive to achieve our mission of supporting local sick and injured children treated at Sanford Children’s Hospital- Fargo.
Throughout the school year, CDM holds events both to fund-raise and to educate the campus and Fargo-Moorhead community. These events strive to involve people from all levels of our organization, bringing together Concordia College students and faculty members, families, hospital staff and community members.
Our year round efforts culminate in March at an extraordinary 12-hour event called “CobberThon.” Hundreds of student and community volunteers work together to encourage our dancers, as they stand on their feet for 12-hours to show their dedication to the families and hospital that we support.
As we stand, dancers have the opportunity to enjoy entertainment, activities, and stories from the families treated at Sanford Children’s Hospital.
